Before And After A Periodontal Surgery
In order for a periodontal disease surgery to be successful there is a need of patient's cooperation. If gingivitis and other forms of gum disease are left untreated it may progress to advance periodontal disease, periodontitis. Oral hygiene should be practice before and after a periodontal surgery to ensure that the bacteria is kept away from the mouth and preventing gum disease to recur.
Untreated periodontitis may trigger certain medical conditions to occur. Consistent pain and discomfort may be experience and eventually tooth loss. Periodontal or gum disease should be treated at its early possible time, delay with the periodontal surgery or treatment will allow bacteria to spread over the other parts of the body.
